Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Gus’s Solar team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price Solar Work
Every job at Gus’s Solar is priced job-by-job off a free written estimate. No hourly rate, no plan to join, nothing to sign up for. Before anyone sets a ladder against your house, you have a number in writing – the full number, for the specific job, based on your actual roof and your actual bill.
That model is deliberate. Solar has a reputation for one price on the phone and a different one at the door. We built the opposite: a written estimate that doesn’t move. If the scope changes once we’re on the roof, we stop, re-quote, and you decide. The estimate is yours to keep whether you hire us or not.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out
Nothing. The estimate visit is free, and there’s no obligation at the end of it.
Gus will look at your roof, pull up your utility bill, and model the numbers against current export rates for your area – not a brochure figure, the real one. You’ll leave with a written scope and a written price. The whole visit usually runs an hour, sometimes less. You’re free to say no, sleep on it, get another quote, or come back six months from now. The price will be the same. That’s the point.
When People Usually Call Us
Solar work runs on two rhythms, and we see both every week.
The first is the planning call. Spring and early summer bring homeowners who want production before the heavy air-conditioning months arrive. Late fall brings a different crowd – people who spent a summer watching their bill and decided they’re done watching. Both are smart times to call. Neither is urgent in a way that should rush your decision.
The second is the repair call, and those come whenever they come. A panel goes dark after a storm. The inverter trips and doesn’t reset. The monitoring app shows a number that doesn’t match what the system should be producing. Those calls come in at odd hours, which is why a live person answers ours around the clock – not a voicemail, not a ticketing queue.
Either way, the first step is the same: bring us a recent bill, tell us what’s going on, and we’ll bring the math. No pressure attached to that conversation. Gus has been doing this since 2011 and he’s not in a hurry to close a job that isn’t right for you.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way
A few things are true on every job, offer or no offer.
Written upfront pricing. The number you see before work starts is the number on the invoice. That’s not a policy we quote on slow days – it’s how every estimate leaves this shop.
The 90-Day Done Right Promise. Every solar job is guaranteed in writing for 90 days. If it’s not right, one call brings Gus back. That’s not fine print – it’s the standard.
Background-checked, uniformed technicians. Gus’s own crew does the work. Nobody is handing your job off to a sub you’ve never met. You’ll know who’s on your roof before they get there.
A live person, 24/7. Call at 11 p.m. on a Sunday and a person answers. That’s been true since 2011 and it’s not changing.
No-hassle upfront pricing. The quote is built off your actual bill and the actual conditions on your roof. The math is yours to keep and to compare.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, completely. There’s no trip charge, no consultation fee, and no obligation to hire us at the end. You get a written scope and a written price, and what you do with it is entirely up to you.
Do you offer financing or a monthly plan?
Honestly, no – and that’s on purpose. Every job is priced off a free written estimate, and that’s the only pricing mechanism we use. No hourly rates, no subscriptions, no payment products. If you want to understand what a job will cost, the estimate is how we find out together.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per visit. If you’re not sure which one applies to your situation, just ask when you call – we’ll tell you straight.
Does the price change once you’re here?
No. The written estimate is the price. If we get on the roof and find something that wasn’t visible from the ground, we stop before touching it, re-quote in writing, and you decide whether to proceed. Nobody’s going to hand you a surprise invoice at the end of a job.
